Release Notes for version 6.2023.5.31

This is a partial list of enhancements and fixes included with this release.

This release includes an update for the ToolHound Mobile app. Ensure your server is updated before updating your mobile device.

Enhancement Highlights

NEW FEATURES

  • The Message panel on the Home page can be updated in the Settings.
  • Mobile
    • Part Number* is now available to view, edit, and add part numbers. Find it under Inventory on the menu.
    • Transfer Request* is now available to view or add transfer request for the selected stocking location. Find it under Locations on the menu.
    • Pick Request* is now available to pick transfer requests to transfer from the selected stocking location. Find it under Locations on the menu.
Features denoted with * are granted to all roles automatically. Edit all roles to set the appropriate permissions.

NEW REPORTS

  • The Inventory QR Codes report has been added. Displays the same information and same label format as Inventory Bar Codes report but with a QR code on the right instead of a barcode center-top.

Other Enhancements

  • Settings
    • The page has been reorganized into tabs for clarity
    • User Name has been added as an option to the Email tab.
  • Close Count has been optimized for faster processing.
  • Background Notifications has been optimized for faster processing.
  • Pick Transfer Request now displays the item ID for non-serialized inventory in the details grid.
  • Issue / Return now displays the Bin Shelf for all components when issuing kits.
  • Serialized Items Kit Contents tab now displays the Bin Shelf for all components.
  • The Serialized Kit Content report now displays the Bin Shelf for all components.
  • Part Number rate sheet tabs (Transaction Rates, Transfer Rates) can now be hidden for specific roles by selecting the No Access permission for either Transaction Rate Sheet or Transfer Rate Sheet.
  • Mobile
    • Bin Shelf has been added for Pick Transfer Request, Pick Requisition, and Receive Inventory.
    • Add Requisition Part Number lookups now display the image associated with the part number.

Fixes

  • The Export option on the Transaction History tab was missing for Part Numbers, Serialized Items, Personnel, and Locations.
  • Transaction Requisitions repeated very long Notes sections.
  • Create Transfer Request, Transfer Request, and Transfers were not saving changes to captions for Shipping Instructions and Notes.
  • Part Number lookups were not working with special characters. All special characters except underscore now supported.
  • Import Data
    • was reporting an unclear error message when the Return Status was missing for imported return transactions.
    • was not properly handling closed Work Orders.
  • Receive Inventory was not properly handling rejected quantities. The ability to reject inventory has been removed from within Receive Inventory. Use Create Return to send inventory back to vendor or otherwise reject a receipt.
  • Pick Requisitions was not correctly handling reservations when Allow Negative QOH was not enabled.
  • The user's Access Actual Cost was not respected on the Part Number, Serialized Items, and Adjust Inventory pages for the Last Cost, Average Cost, Unit Cost and Purchase Cost.
  • New bulk kit part numbers did not permit more than one kit component to be added.
  • Duplicating a PO retained the detail received quantities from the original PO.
  • Task attachments were being saved but not displayed.
