Release Notes for version 6.2022.3.25

This is a partial list of enhancements and fixes included with this release.

This release includes an update for the ToolHound Mobile app. Ensure your server is updated before updating your mobile device.

Enhancement Highlights

  • User logins and logouts are now tracked. View logins and logouts on the User Logins report (under Utilities). Logins to TH6 Mobile include M in the Source column.
  • Spacers have been added to group submenu options.
  • Tool bar
    • Search on the tool bar now displays a filter row at the top of list pages (Categories, Jobs, Cost Codes, etc.) for live filtering.
    • Moving to a new record using the tool bar will prompt for unsaved changes.
  • Lists have a persistent display of the column headers and toolbar with only the data pane affected by scrolling.
  • Attachments now
    • display a reminder to save the record.
    • are limited to 60MB per attachment.
    • validate the file type to ensure the file extension matches the type.
  • License Information
    • now displays the Server URL (website) used to access ToolHound at the right of the page to help users configure their THM6 app.
    • now displays whether the Kiosk is licensed; shown on the right side of the page with other modules.
  • The Email password in the Settings is now encrypted in the database.
  • Issue / Return
    • now populates the stocking location by default for environments with multiple stocking locations where the currently logged-in user has access to a single active stocking location.
    • now includes additional data entry text fields for jobs and sub jobs to permit scanning in addition to type-to-filter or selecting from the dropdown.
    • now displays the current quantity on hand in the details grid for each item on a non-return (issue / sold) transaction.
  • Reassign Assets now includes additional data entry text fields for jobs and sub jobs to permit scanning in addition to type-to-filter or selecting from the dropdown.
  • The Transaction History tab for both part numbers and serialized items includes a hyperlink for the entity.
  • Transfer now supports the ability to close line items on a transfer rather than cancelling the entire transfer. Closing all line items on the transfer closes the transfer.
  • Service Due now supports the double-clicking of the Work Order No to open the WO after it's been created
  • Import Data
    • For all imports, the last column in Results file will now display the results message in red for an error or green for successful create or update.
    • Serialized Item import has been optimized and is less likely to timeout.
    • Work Order imports now include the failure code and the work order type has been removed.
  • Create Purchase Requisition, Purchase Requisitions, and the Purchase Requisition report now include the manufacturer and vendor part number.
  • Purchase Orders
    • are now searchable by purchase requisition number.
    • now include the manufacturer and vendor part number.
  • Reports
    • All reports now have the NOT IN operator to exclude a list of values. Surround each value with single quotes and separate each value with a comma. Example: 'mac6000','mac4242','mac2400'
    • Copied reports now display the base report type from which they were copied.
    • Report filters now include dropdown lists that support type-to-filter matching for most commonly used fields (location - either stocking point or visibility- and entity).
    • Transaction Receipt now includes time as well as date.
    • Inventory Bar Codes report is now sorted by description instead of item ID.
    • Locations report now includes Active and Billing Location columns
    • Service History report has an improved layout, grouped by each item ID.
    • Packing Slips now include the manufacturer, model, and size.
    • Purchase Order reports have been optimized and now include the manufacturer and vendor part number.
    • The Serialized Utilization report has been added (under Inventory) to show per item show usage over its lifetime. This reports on total Days Issued, Avg Days Issued per transaction, Lifetime days since added, PerCent of lifetime where issued.
    • Count Sheets now include the unit of measure.
  • Mobile
    • Delivery Signature has been added to capture a signature for existing transactions.
    • Adjust Inventory now displays the current QOH.
    • Tapping any row in Issued Items will launch the Item Lookup screen with details on the Item ID.
    • When installing ToolHound Mobile for the first time, the Server will default to the Cloud server (https://www.toolhound6.online).

Fixes

  • Transfer do not include serialized inventory with no quantity on hand in the Item ID lookup and the quantity on hand is validated when the item ID is entered rather than when the transfer is saved
  • Transfer imports were not handling times correctly.
  • When adding pictures and multiple instances of the same page were open, the picture would be added to the first tab.
  • Service Due was not generating work orders for meter-based tasks.
  • Reports
    • filtered by a date range and exported to Excel had the UTC date conversion applied twice.
    • were not printing pictures or thumbnails for personnel and inventory reports.
  • When converting a ToolHound 5 database, missing Purchase Order Created Dates weren't handled.
  • Purchase Order details could be edited after approval.
  • Pick Requisition was ignoring Print receipt when processing.
  • User (login) names containing spaces were not handled well when changing the password. Spaces now disallowed in user names.
  • Work Order report was not displaying material costs for consumables charged to work order.
  • New items with service requirements didn't have the default Last Service Date saved.
  • Imports trim trailing spaces from data in columns.
  • Notifications weren't correctly converting time zones for the created and required dates.
  • Adjust inventory did not fetch the Bin and erased the Bin if nothing was entered.
  • Issue / Return did not display the Bin for serialized items.
  • Requisitions flagged as reservations were not correctly updating quantities.
  • Mobile
    • Users could not transfer to stocking locations outside their visibility.
    • Returns where the item ID was entered multiple times only returned 1 regardless of the quantity.
