About Failure Codes

Failure Codes are part of the add-on Service module. They are a standardized list of reasons that an item failed a required service or emergency repair. These optional codes are used on service work orders and can be color-coded.

Parameters used include:

Failure Code

Unique description of the failure code.

Color

Select a color to differentiate from other failure codes.

Active

Check this box to make the failure code available for use. Active by default.

Watch this video for an understanding of managing preventative maintenance and emergency repairs with the Service module.
Watch this video for an understanding of the different pick lists available and the types of data they contain. If you are importing inventory or personnel data, these values need to exist in the system first.
