About Rental Periods

Rental Periods is used to define rental periods used by the transfer rate sheets in the Transfer Rentals module when charging rent between stocking locations. Rental periods can be defined as a fixed number of days or following the calendar month.

Rental periods are also occasionally used when inventory is rented by your organization from third parties to indicate the billing cycle for serialized inventory. This is for reference only and does not calculate rental charges to your company.

Fields on this tab include:

Rental Period

Enter a unique description of the rental period. Up to 50 characters.

Days

Enter the number of days for the rental, if needed

Calendar Month

Check this box if rents are calculated by a calendar month.

Active

Check this box to make the rental period available to be used.

Watch this video for an understanding of the different pick lists available and the types of data they contain. If you are importing inventory or personnel data, these values need to exist in the system first.
