About Email Settings
The Email tab of the Settings page sets up and configures details used to email copies of documents, reports, tools out reminders, notifications, and support requests from within ToolHound.
SMTP Server | Specify the mail server for email notifications. *Pre-configured for Cloud subscribers. |
SMTP Port | Specify the mail server port. *Pre-configured for Cloud subscribers. |
Sender Name | Specify the sender name for emails from the system. *Pre-configured for Cloud subscribers. |
Sender Email | Specify the default email address used for emails will come from when sending from the system. *Pre-configured for Cloud subscribers. |
User Name | The user name associated with the email address above. If no value is entered in User Name, it uses the Sender Email when sending email. *Pre-configured for Cloud subscribers. |
Email Password | Enter the password of the email server. *Pre-configured for Cloud subscribers. The password will be encrypted in the database. If you need to retrieve this password, contact your organization's mail administrator. |
Enable SSL | Check this box to enable Secure Socket Layer (SSL) / Transport Layer Security (TLS) protection for sending emails. *Pre-configured for Cloud subscribers. |
CC Supervisor | Check this box to send a copy to the Supervisor of the entity when emailing the Outstanding Issues from the Personnel Transaction History. |
Reply To Email | Setting a value here will override the default reply to email on ToolHound generated emails. For Cloud subscribers, it is important to set this to someone inside your organization. This will avoid missed communications especially for replies to the Issued Assets Email and notifications. |
Internal Support Email | By default Report Bug and Feedback emails go directly to the ToolHound Support team. Redirect these emails to an internal support resource by entering the email address here. |
