This step applies to all ToolHound implementations.

  1. Add Location Types, if using.

ToolHound comes out-of-the-box with two location types: Stocking Locations and Non Stocking Locations. These two location types answer the needs for nearly all cases but should you wish to differentiate between location types, additional location types may be added.

** Do not attempt this without assistance. To be covered during training or contact Support.**

  1. Review Location setup.

Verify the Location setup. You should have

  • a non-stocking location for your organization with the ID of ALL
  • a stocking location for your tool crib / warehouse where the parent is set to your organization

** Call us if you want to change existing location codes to match what's above **

Going forward, use the Visibility ALL when completing import spreadsheets.

  1. Configure the Location Settings.

For each Stocking Location configure the settings to customize the how this stocking point will behave and number documents.

  1. Add any additional stocking locations if licensed and required. Stocking locations can also be added later.
