Editing an Inventory Status

Disambiguation: This topic is about inventory status definitions. The inventory status on a serialized item can be changed within limitations. Serialized items that have been retired (lost, written off, sold) can be reinstated.
An inventory status cannot be edited once they have been used on a transaction.
Before making any changes to inventory status definitions or adding any new inventory statuses, contact ToolHound Support. Improperly configured inventory statuses or an inventory status set to a conflicting transaction type or return status can cause inventory to be trapped in limbo.
To prevent the use of an inventory status in the future, remove the Active flag.
- Look up the inventory status as described in looking up an inventory status.
- Select the Inventory Status to change.
- Make the required changes.
- Click
to save the changes.
