Give Permission to TOOL CONNECT Site Manager

In order to fetch GPS data from TOOL CONNECT Site Manager, you must first grant permission to your ToolHound database to access this information. Granting permission only needs to be done once to establish the connection. Once permission is approved, you can update item locations.

  1. Click Location Services on the left side menu bar then click Dewalt.
  2. Click Give Permission to the right of the page. A new browser tab will open to the Dewalt TOOL CONNECT Site Manager login page.
  3. Log in to Dewalt TOOL CONNECT Site Manager. A message will be displayed asking if you want to allow ToolHound to access your Site Manager account.
Only Dewalt account owners in Site Manager will be able have data passed back to ToolHound. If the Dewalt user is an Administrator or Manager in Site Manager then no data will be passed to ToolHound and an error is displayed.
  1. Click Allow. Within a short delay, a confirmation message will appear confirming that ToolHound has been approved. Close this browser tab and return to ToolHound. An Approved stamp will appear to the right of Give Permission and two new options will be displayed: Revoke Permission and Update Item Locations.
If the page does not reflect the new permissions within 10 seconds click Refresh at the top right of the page.
To prevent updating the physical locations for items from TOOL CONNECT, you must Revoke Permission.
