The Import Data feature is usually used when first implementing a system, to quickly load inventory (both the part number catalog and uniquely identified tools and equipment), quantities for bulk and consumable inventory, reorder levels, outstanding purchase orders, and service history from pre-configured import templates. Each Excel template contains a worksheet to be completed and the instructions on type of date required to complete each column in the worksheet. Once the spreadsheets are ready, the Excel template should be saved as a .XLSX (Excel Workbook) file before being imported.
Data can also be imported at any point after implementing your ToolHound system.
