What does "Could not connect to SQL Server. Check your settings" mean?

The error "Could not connect to SQL Server. Check your settings." or "Could not connect to specified server. Check your settings." indicates that the SQL Server containing your ToolHound data cannot be accessed.

For ToolHound On Premise

  1. Take a screenshot or copy the error message text.
  2. Email your internal IT department, help desk or DBA.
    1. Include the error message from step 1.
    2. Include the link to this page.

For ToolHound Cloud

  1. Take a screenshot or copy the error message text.
  2. Email Support, including the error message from step 1.
