Adding a Transaction Type
To create a custom version of an existing transaction type:
- Click Transactions in the left side menu bar and then click Transaction Types.
- Click the checkbox to the left of the row to select transaction type you wish to copy.
- Click
on the edit toolbar to duplicate the record, retaining all non-unique information from the transaction type.
- Modify the Transaction Type description for the new row to be unique.
- Modify the configuration of the transaction type, if required,
- Toggle the Issue, Return, or Sold flags, if necessary.
- Remove the Active flag to prevent the new transaction type from being used.
- Change the default Inventory Status, if a custom inventory status will be used.
- Click
to save the transaction type.
To add new transaction type
- Click Transactions in the left side menu bar and then click Transaction Types.
- Click
to add a new transaction type record.
- Enter the name of the Transaction Type in the field. Choose a descriptive name that clearly identifies the purpose of this transaction type.
- The display Order will default to 0. Change this to indicate where the transaction type will appear in lists.
- Check the box (Issue, Return, or Sold) which corresponds to the transaction type category or behavior.
- Select an Inventory Status from the drop down field. This setting determines how this transaction type will affect your serialized inventory.
- Click
to save the transaction type.
