Can I return inventory to a different stocking point?

Serialized Items

When an entity returns serialized inventory to a different stocking point from where it was originally issued, the "Return location is different from issue location" warning is displayed. The transaction can be processed and the stocking point for the item will be updated to wherever it was returned.

If the entity is not the same as the entity it was originally checked out to, the additional "Item is not issued to selected entity" warning is shown. The transaction will still be processed with the returning entity.
Non-serialized Items

When an entity returns non-serialized inventory, it depends on whether the inventory was issued to them or not issued to them. See this article for details and examples.

When returning items to a different stocking location, no transfer is created.
