About Meter Readings

Meter Readings are part of the add-on Service module. This feature is used to record non-date based meter reading values in order to establish service dates for tasks for serialized inventory. When a reading is taken, all readings for the item based on the same meter will be updated. A popup message will be displayed if the item is due for service based on the updated reading.
Meter readings can be edited but the item's task will only be updated if the last reading date is less than or equal to the reading date.
Fields on this tab include:
Item ID | Enter/Scan an item ID to be read. Press the search to manually look up an item from the list. |
Meter | Select the meter to be used in the reading from the drop down list. |
Reading | Enter the reading value. |
Use Current Date & Time? | Check the box to use the current date and time for the reading. Uncheck to manually select a different date and time. |
Reading Date Time | Displayed for historic readings or when Use Current Date & Time is not selected for new readings. |
Part No | Displays the part number of the item in the reading. Read Only. |
Description | Displays the part number's description. Read Only. |
Created User | Displays the user currently creating the reading. |
