Release Notes for version 6.2024.520.0

This is a partial list of enhancements and fixes included with this release.

This release includes an update for the ToolHound Mobile app (6.2024.0518). Ensure your server is updated before updating your mobile device.
For On Premise installations that update to version 6.2024.5xx can require a change to the appsettings.json depending on your SQL Server configuration. This is due to a breaking change from Microsoft. If this is not addressed, an error message will be displayed and users will not be able to log in.

Enhancement Highlights

NEW FEATURES

  • *Dashboard has been released in BETA. Configure one or more dashboards each containing multiple panels containing KPIs you select based on ToolHound reports. KPI chart types include include bar, column, line, number, and pie.
  • On Premise installations can now change the Command Timeout on the Connection string to enable longer running queries. The default is 30 seconds and that can be increased to whatever to reduce timeout errors for bigger databases. Add Command Timeout=300 to set to 5 minutes. Note this will not speed the retrieval of the data but will reduce timeout errors.
  • Database Utilities can be run when recommended by the Support team.
  • Issue / Return now supports multiple selections in the Item ID lookup for issue and sold transactions. Click each item ID then click Select at the bottom right of the pop up window.
  • Pick Requisition now
    • supports multiple selections in the Item ID lookup. Click each item ID then click Select at the bottom right of the pop up window.
    • has an option to Pick all non-serialized items on the requisition.
  • Part Numbers has been optimized to load details for different tabs more quickly.
  • Mobile
    • Issued Items now includes the ability to email outstanding issues to the entity, similar to the envelope icon on the Personnel Transaction History tab or the Issued Assets Email.
    • *Serialized Kits has been added to view, build, and replenish serialized kits.
Features denoted with * are granted to all roles automatically. Edit all roles to set the appropriate permissions.

Other Enhancements

  • Serialized Items attachments now includes part number attachments indicated with an * (asterisk).
  • Employer records when duplicated now retain all information except the employer code and name.
  • Personnel records when duplicated now retain all information except the ID, employee no, first & last name, hire & termination dates, Kiosk pin code, & certifications.

Fixes

  • Work Order vendor charges could not be deleted.
  • Duplicated reports would display an error when subsequently edited and resaved.
  • Duplicated Transaction Activity report would duplicate the Employee No and Craft columns each time the report was saved.
  • TH5 database conversions did not assign report permissions for roles.
  • Transfers would not import if Transfer Rental was not licensed and no Billing Location was specified.
  • Transfer Charges would not show the reference field for return transfers.
  • Password Expires In was not validating the Password Last Modified Date.
  • Mobile
    • Adjust Inventory was not recognizing the hardware Scan button for the Item ID.
    • Message bar was displayed on the Home menu regardless of whether there was a message to display.
    • Requisition Part Number lookup was not retrieving all part numbers.
