- Add any non-date Meters, if using.
Meters are required when Tasks need to be performed based on number of issues, time (Week, Month, Year) or on a reading (e.g. Kilometers/Miles, Running Hours, etc.). Time -based and issue-based meters are standard. Review during training or see this link. |
- Add custom Work Order Types, if using.
Work order types are references on service work orders and can be color-coded. Review during training or see this link. |
- Add any custom Work Order Statuses, if using.
The five out-of-the-box work order statuses are Requested, Approved, Scheduled, On Hold, and Closed. Review during training or see this link. |
- Add any custom Work Order Priorities, if using.
Priorities, used to rank service requests and work orders, can be customized and color-coded to suit the organization. The five out-of-the-box work order priorities are Highest, High, Medium, Low, and Lowest. Review during training or see this link. |
- Add Failure Codes, if using.
Failure Codes are a standardized list of reasons that an item failed a required service or emergency repair. These optional codes are used on service work orders and can be color-coded. Review during training or see this link. |
- Add Check Lists, if using.
Check lists can replace paper forms completed as part of service to make sure all, or important, requirements are complete before closing a Work Order. Review during training or see this link. |
- Add Tasks.
Create a Task for each separate Service to be assigned to the inventory (e.g. Annual Calibration, Oil Change, etc.). Review during training or see this link. |
- Assign Tasks to Part Numbers.
Standardized Tasks (e.g. Annual Calibration, Oil Change, etc.) are normally assigned at the Part Number level because they will automatically apply to all the serialized items assigned to the Part Number. Review during training or see this link. |
- Enter Last Service Dates or Values for all Serialized Inventory for each assigned Task.
Leveraging your available Maintenance information, enter the last date or reading for each assigned Task for all serialized items. Review during training or see this link. |
