Merge Item is used to combine two serialized items for the same part number. The merged Item ID become an alternate ID for the remaining item ID.

This function is primarily used when a item ID has been inadvertently created more than once for the same piece of inventory.

All transaction, purchasing, and service history as well as outstanding issues, requisitions, requests, purchase orders will all carry over to the remaining item ID transparently.

Merge Item should be used with caution. Once a item ID is merged, it cannot be undone.
