Editing Part Numbers

Most information on a part number can be modified or changed except the inventory type and whether it is a kit. This is most frequently used to change a part number, change a description, or add information such as a category or vendors.

Any changes to the Transaction or Transfer Rental Rates must be made on the rate sheets.

  1. Look up the part number to edit under Inventory > Part Numbers.
  2. Make the required changes.
It is recommended to not use the underscore symbol ( _ ) in part numbers. Other special characters are supported ( ! # $ *@ - / )

  1. Click  to save the changed part number record.
Part Numbers can be made inactive when there are outstanding issues. Note that these issues cannot be returned while the part number is inactive and will remain in limbo until the part number is active.
