Release Notes for version 6.2025.129.0

This is a partial list of enhancements and fixes included with this release.

This release includes an update for the ToolHound Mobile app. Ensure your server is updated before updating your mobile device.

NEW FEATURES

Browser
  • Import Data now provides the ability to import file attachments (not comments or links) for Inventory (part numbers), Serialized Items, Personnel, and Work Orders. File names must be in the format [ID]~[filename]~[description].[extension]. If no description is provided, the file name is used as the description. Example: 10020 ~ kirk.pdf will be saved as an attachment for the record 10020 with the file name kirk.pdf and the description kirk.pdf
  • *Unapprove PO Requisition is now available to return a PO requisition to an editable state and cancel all linked unapproved POs.
  • *Unapprove Transfer Request is now available to return any unpicked or partially picked transfer request to an editable state.
  • Transfers can now be automatically received at the destination (To Location) stocking point if Allow Auto Receipt Of Transfer is enabled for that stocking point and the transfer is set to Auto Receive.
  • Pick Transfer Request can now automatically receive the transfer generated if the destination (To Location) stocking point has Allow Auto Receipt Of Transfer enabled for that stocking point and the Auto Receive flag is set on when picking.
  • Calculate Min/Max is now available to generate an XLSX file with suggested Minimum on Hand and Maximum on Hand values based on usage statistics.
  • Cost Code QR Codes report has been added.
Mobile
Once TH6 Mobile is installed, clear any locally cached data after logging in by tapping the stacked Menu icon then tapping About and tapping the trash bin in the upper right corner of the screen.
  • SSO (Single Sign On) has been enabled as an alternative to logging in to TH6 Mobile with a password.
  • *Reassign Assets is now available to capture the return of inventory from one entity and reissue to another entity in a single operation.
  • Transfers can now be automatically received at the destination (To Location) stocking point if Allow Auto Receipt Of Transfer is enabled for that stocking point and the transfer is set to Auto Receive.
  • Pick Transfer Request can now automatically receive the transfer generated if the destination (To Location) stocking point has Allow Auto Receipt Of Transfer enabled for that stocking point and the Auto Receive flag is set on when picking.
This version of TH6 Mobile does not support the CS108 RFID reader.
Features denoted with * are granted to all roles automatically. Edit all roles to set the appropriate permissions.
API
  • Patch actions have been added for InventoryItem, PartNumber, Location, Employer,  Personnel, IncoTerm, PaymentTerm, PurchaseOrder, and Jobs.
  • Batch Post (Batch Create) have been added for InventoryItem, PartNumber, Location, Personnel, Employer, and PurchaseOrder.

Browser
  • Roles now includes the created by and modified by audit data.
  • Part Numbers
    • has Active checked by default on page load and on clear. To include inactive parts in searches, click until the box displays a dash (to disregard state).
    • Transaction History tab export now includes the string in the Search box. The Date/time row at the bottom of results is replaced with Search: '[search_string]' Dow Mmm DD YYYY. Example: Search: 'receipt' Wed Jan 29 2025
  • Serialized Items

  • Create Count will now use a serialized item's Bin from the part number's stocking locations tab if the Bin Shelf on the serialized item is blank.
  • Create Requisition now includes a Print after saving? option on the Selected Items tab.
  • Pick Requisition now includes an Email after saving? option on the Details tab.
  • Reassign Assets now
    • supports the Sold transaction type for the second "issue" transaction.
    • includes an Email after saving? option to email a transaction receipt to each entity.
  • Purchase Requisitions now include
    • the entity ID for the Requested By field.
    • a tab listing Purchase Orders linked to the requisition.
  • Locations has a new Notes tab which is now the default tab for this page.
  • Pick Transfer Request now
    • includes an option to Pick all non-serialized parts, similar to Pick Requisition.
    • supports multi-select in the Item ID lookup.
  • Notifications
    • for transfer requests now include fields for the from and to locations, jobs, sub jobs, and cost codes.
    • for issues and returns now include fields for jobs, sub jobs, and cost codes.
    • for inventory returns now includes fields for the vendor and inventory status.
    • for Change Item Status are now available.
    • for most documents now include fields for the user who created the document.

Reporting Enhancements

  • Transfer report now
    • supports transfer type as an advanced filter.
    • displays the transfer type.
  • Cost Codes report now has quick filters for the cost code.
  • Issues report has been renamed to Issued Assets report for clarity.
Mobile
  • Settings now includes an option to Email receipt after transaction which automatically applies all Issue / Return, Reassign Assets, and Pick Requisition transactions if the entity(ies) have a stored email address.
  • Serialized Kits now mirrors the Required Qty with the Quantity in the kit when building new kits.
  • Count now
    • supports the creation of Count By Entity count type.
    • updates the Last Seen Date and GPS map coordinates for serialized items when counted.
  • Create Requisition now
    • supports multi-select of part numbers based on the search.
    • supports filtering by Category and Sub Category.
    • retains the last-selected filter.
    • displays the quantity on hand in the part number lookup.
  • Pick Requisition will now email a transaction receipt to the entity if Email receipt after transaction is selected on the Transactions tab of the Settings.
  • Create Transfer Request now supports
    • multi-select of part numbers based on the search.
    • filtering by Category and Sub Category.
    • retaining the last-selected filter.

Fixes

Browser
  • Transfers would not save quantities greater than 1.
  • Roles would show menu groups for all enabled languages when creating a new role.
  • Notifications would display an error ("Connection was not closed") when adding a new notification.
  • The Recycle Bin would not load.
  • Merge Item was not verifying items have equivalent inventory statuses.
  • Create Count was missing criteria fields from Text tables.
  • Work Orders would display Material Costs for users without the Access Actual Costs flag.
  • Transaction Rate Sheet
    • permitted the selection of inactive employers.
    • did not permitted deletion of part numbers.
  • Transaction On Rent report would duplicate lines for items issued with alternate IDs.
  • Import Data would not remember which menu section was expanded when switching tabs.
  • Issue / Return didn't prevent a return quantity of 0.
  • Transaction Activity and Issued Assets (Issues) didn't display the correct cost codes when the reports were exported.
  • jQuery Validate library was updated to version 1.19.5 to block a security vulnerability.
  • Check List report was not printing in the order displayed on the Check List page.
  • Notes tab headers were not in bold if there were contents. Affected Part Numbers, Serialized Items, Locations, and Work Orders.

Mobile
  • Menu images modified as they caused older versions of Android OS and iOS to exit the app after login.
  • Could not log in on Zebra devices running Android 14.
  • Returns would revert the quantity to 1 for non-serialized items. Reminder: Always tap Next / Go on the keyboard or tap off the field after entering a quantity value or other information to ensure it is retained.
  • Item Lookup would not recognize the first barcode scanned when using the camera on Android devices to scan the barcode.
  • Dark Mode wasn't well supported on Android.
