About Return Statuses

Updated by Cheryl Wallace

This feature lists the available statuses for items being returned after having been issued in both the browser and in ToolHound Mobile 6. It is used to:

  • expand the basic return transaction status with custom descriptions, properties, and inventory statuses.
  • configure the order in which return statuses are displayed in both the browser and mobile.
Before making any changed to return statuses, contact ToolHound Support.

Return statuses have the following properties,

Return Status

This is the descriptive name of the return status.

Order

Specify the display order in the list of return statuses. Valid options are 0 through 9 where 0 will be first and 9 will be last.

Update Q O H

Select to increase the quantity on hand by the number in the transaction.

For serialized items the QOH is always one.

Damaged

Select to flag this item as being returned as damaged on this transaction. This does not affect the QOH or prevent the item from being issued. This transaction will appear on the Damaged Tools report (under Transactions).

Retire

Select to include inventory on the Retired Assets report. This does not increase the QOH. The item is no longer issued and no longer available to be issued (lost, damaged beyond repair, scrapped, etc.). The only way to make the item available for transactions for is using the Reinstate option on Retired Items.

Inventory Status

Select from the predefined list of Inventory Statuses.

Active

Check this box to make the status available to be used.
