ToolHound 6 Mobile can be used on any WIFI-enabled or cellular-enabled device running either Android or iOS operating systems. This includes tablets, smart phones, and ruggedized handheld computers with integrated scanners.
When using tablets or smart phones, the device's camera is used to read barcodes and QR codes. When reading labels in less than ideal conditions, such as low light conditions or damaged labels, chances are the label will not be scanned.
This is why we recommend mobile devices that are ruggedized handheld computers with integrated laser scanners. Contact your account manager or our Support team.
