Release Notes for update version 6.2025.1203.0

This is a partial list of enhancements and fixes included with this release.

This release includes an update for the ToolHound Mobile app. Ensure your server is updated before updating your mobile device. Once TH6 Mobile is installed, clear any locally cached data after logging in by tapping the stacked Menu icon then tap About and tap the trash bin in the upper right corner.

NEW FEATURES

Browser
  • Import Data now supports importing
  • Unapprove Requisition has been added to remove all flags from transaction requisitions to enable editing. Permission granted only to Super users (administrators) by default. Add permission to each role as required.
  • ToolHound now provides GPS tracking capability for vehicles and larger assets. Contact your account manager for more information.
  • Interfaces to Geotab and Azuga GPS systems update serialized item locations.

ENHANCEMENTS

Browser
  • Issue / Return now
    • displays the image associated with the part number for items on the transaction (in the Detail grid).
    • inserts new items at the top of the grid list.
    • supports multi-select in the Item ID lookup.
  • Transaction Requisitions search popup now displays all statuses including Cancelled.
  • Counts now
    • display the number of lines on the Counted tab within the tab, as the Discrepancies tab does.
    • insert new item IDs to the top of the details grid.
  • Personnel with outstanding issues now display a warning when you make them inactive. This does not prevent the personnel records from being made inactive. Outstanding requisitions and purchase requests still prevent the personnel record from being made inactive.
  • Locations now supports requiring the job, sub job, and cost code for stocking locations where Use Cost Coding? is in use. This impacts issue and return transactions (including reassigning assets), requisitions (create, approve, and pick), transfers (and requests), as well as importing locations which requires a new template.
  • Transfers now
    • displays the image associated with the part number for items on the transfer (in the Detail grid).
    • inserts new items at the top of the grid list.
    • supports multi-select in the Item ID lookup.
  • Purchase Requisitions search popup now displays all statuses including Cancelled.
  • Reorder Worksheet now
    • has a Copy Suggested to Quantity option at the top right to speed up ordering.
    • displays the Suggested Order column beside the Quantity for clarity.
  • Meter Readings now permit only one reading recorded for a date. The most recently entered on overwrites any previous reading on the same day.
  • Import Data has been changed to a two-column layout to prevent scrolling. Choose File and the Results panel are show on the right side of the page.

Reporting Enhancements

  • Report previews have new shortcut PDF and Excel icons to generate files with the exact formatting shown in the preview (not columns for Excel). To generate data in columns, use the Excel icon on the reports toolbar before generating the preview.
  • Issued Assets report now supports the Manufacturers table for both columns on duplicated reports and for Advanced Filters.
  • Completed Counts report now includes the name of the user who closed the count.
  • Transaction Charges report now includes user fields for the stocking point in the Trans Location block as well as the previous user fields in the Location block for non-stocking renting entities.
  • System Reports Update now updates Dashboards as well.
  • Dashboards now support additional predefined KPIs when configuring a KPI panel.
Mobile
  • The toolbar no longer displays Undo on to toolbar for smaller screens, such as the TC27, for better navigation for Part Numbers, Pick Requisition, and other screens.
  • Part Number searches now support filtering by the description in addition to selecting a category.

Fixes

Browser
  • Part Numbers Transaction History tab caption for Entity was corrected.
  • Adjust Inventory
    • When adding inventory adjustments, attachments weren't being saved.
    • Adjustments could not be processed for bulk kits.
  • Vendors were not being validated for required visibility when new vendors were saved.
  • Transfer Receipts were not printing when saving a transfer receipt and Print after saving was selected.
  • When using approval processes for both purchase requisitions and purchase orders, approving a purchase requisition would automatically approve a purchase order. Approving a PO Req now creates a PO with no flags (Ready to Approve, Approved). Note: If any notifications are using to advise purchasers, the notification should be Purchase Order - Created.
  • Notifications
    • Transaction Requisition notifications for approvals to Originator were not referencing the correct user.
    • Service Due background notification was not correctly displaying the Current Location for items issued to non-stocking locations.
  • Import Data allowed purchase orders to be imported for a non-stocking location which caused the PO to be stuck in limbo.
  • Reports
    • Report previews no longer showed the output dropdown.
    • Duplicated reports didn't handle NOT IN and IN operators well for Advanced Filters.
    • Personnel Bar Codes and Personnel QR Codes reports displayed an error when filtering by craft.
Mobile
  • Pick Requisition and Requisition were not displaying the full Shipping Instructions and Notes from the transaction requisition.
  • Pick Requisition
    • would not accept a Due Date the same as the Transaction date.
    • would not save notes entered in the Mobile app to the transaction.
    • incorrectly reported an insufficient quantity for reservations where the quantity being picked was close to quantity on hand.
  • Part Number searches where overlapping labels (captions) when using a search by category.
  • Issue / Return
    • could not scan multiple items without setting focus to Item ID field.
    • would not save retrieved stored transactions with the actual date and time if Use Current Date was selected
  • Adjustments could not be processed for bulk kits.
