Release Notes for version 6.2023.8.16

This is a partial list of enhancements and fixes included with this update release.

This release includes an update for the ToolHound Mobile app. Ensure your server is updated before updating your mobile device.

Enhancement Highlights

NEW FEATURES

  • Single Sign On (SSO) support is now available for Microsoft and Google and can be turned on in the Settings. On-Premise systems must first be configured.
  • Create Requisition will automatically load required parts and materials for approved work orders where specified.
  • Pick Requisition now supports substitutions (browser only).
    • Pick Requisitions Details tab now has a Substitute Part Item ID field.
    • Requisitions now has a Substitutions tab listing the transaction details for the part number that was substituted with the originally requested part number.
  • Pick Transfer Request now supports substitutions (browser only).
    • Pick Transfer Request Details tab now has a Substitute Part Item ID field.
    • Transfer Request now has a Substitutions tab listing the transfer details for the part number that was substituted with the originally requested part number.
  • Work Orders
    • Change Item Status can be launched directly from the work order when it is approved but not closed.
    • Tools or materials required for Work Order's task can now be issued directly from the approved work order once an entity has been assigned. A specific Work Order Transaction Type can be defined in the Location's Settings.
  • Issue / Return will automatically load a selection popup for required parts and materials for approved work order where specified.
  • The Reports toolbar now has hotkeys enabled.
  • Mobile
    • Personnel* is now available to view, edit, and add personnel records. Find it under Personnel on the menu.
    • Home now displays a red bar at the bottom of the screen if there are contents in the Message panel. Double-tap to view.
Features denoted with * are granted to all roles automatically. Edit all roles to set the appropriate permissions.

NEW REPORTS

  • The Location QR Codes report has been added. Displays the same information and same label format as Location Bar Codes report but with a QR code on the right instead of a barcode center-top.

Other Enhancements

  • Exports to Excel have been optimized to increase performance for large exports such as the Command Window, Transaction Rate Sheets, and Transfer Rate Sheets.
  • Attachments
    • are now added at the top of the window
    • now has a filter row for searching
  • New Users now have the Language and Currency populated automatically but can be overridden.
  • Recycle Bin now has a Select All option.
  • Reports
    • can now be emailed to personnel or non-stocking locations by selecting the Entity on the Email tab.
    • now have a Sort tab to alter the sort order while respecting whatever groupings are built into the report. Applies only to non-templated reports.
    • now support pictures when exported to Excel.
    • Consumables report now includes the Inventory Location table for both columns on duplicated reports and for Advanced Filters.
  • Part Numbers now support tracking of weight with numeric Weight and Weight Unit of Measure fields.
  • Requisitions now has a Transaction Details tab displaying all item IDs and quantities previously picked for the requisition.
  • Work Orders now has a Transaction Details tab displaying all item IDs and quantities issued against the work order whether the parts were required for the task or not.
  • Transfers now has a Receipts tab displaying all item IDs and quantities previously received on the transfer.
  • Transaction Rental
    • Rate Sheet Update Rates can now updates Minimum and Maximum Charges as a percentage of cost.
    • Transaction On Rent now includes the Entity ID for easier searching and quicker identification.
  • Transfer Rental
    • Partial Billing for Transfer Rentals can now be performed for all renting and billing locations at once. It is no longer required to specify locations before proceeding with the Partial Billing.
    • Manual charges can now be imported.
    • Transfer Rate Sheets now support a discount percentage for individual renting stocking locations.
  • Notifications
    • now includes an option for personnel certification expiry. This is a background notification.
    • On Premise systems can override the number of days in advance in the configuration for the background notification frequency.
  • Import Data
    • Part Number Vendors can now be imported.
    • Part Number import now supports two alternate IDs, a numeric weight value, and a weight unit of measure.
    • Serialized Items import now supports two alternate IDs.
    • Transfer Rental Manual charges can now be imported.
    • Work Order import has been optimized.
  • Process Batch has been renamed to Process Offline for clarity.
  • Mobile
    • Item Lookup can now search by serial number.

Fixes

  • Could not delete detail lines in Reassign Assets.
  • Issue / Return would not return kits as complete when selected from the Issued Inventory list.
  • Purchase Order Add Detail was not loading the part numbers lookup.
  • Serialized Items was not looking up part numbers correctly.
  • Part Number Last Cost was being updated whenever a serialized item was edited.
  • Receiving Inventory was not updating the Last Purchased Date and Vendor on the Part Number's General tab.
  • Imported issue transactions would falsely report an error when the transaction quantity was equal to the QOH and Allow Negative QOH was not set.
  • Scheduled Reports were not sending reports using a CONTAINS filter.
  • Mobile would permit picking of more serialized parts than on transfer request
