Alternate IDs tab for Serialized Items

All inventory in ToolHound can be referenced by multiple unique IDs such as UPC codes from different vendors, internal bar codes, RFID chip, brass tags or engraved numbers. In the case of serialized items, the primary ID is on the part number and the list of alternate IDs is maintained on the Alternate ID tab.
Fields on this tab include:
ID | Displays the alternate ID of the item. |
Description | A description of the alternate ID. |
Adding an Alternate ID for a Serialized Item
- Look up the Serialized Item.
- Select the Alternate IDs tab.
- Click
to add a new alternate ID. - Enter the new alternate Item ID to associate with this serialized item.
- Optionally enter a Description of the type of identifier. Examples: VIN, Etched, TAG, RFID
- Click
to save.
