Record Inventory Lost In Transit

  1. Click Locations in the left side menu then click Create Lost In Transit.
  2. Enter the Transfer Request No or other information to pre-filter then click to search for the request and double click a transfer to pick.
  3. Click the Details tab.
  4. Enter the information to apply to all items to be marked as lost.
    1. Select the Inventory Status to be applied to all lost inventory.
    2. Enter the Reason for retiring the inventory.
    3. Select Print after saving? to print a report when the document is saved.
  5. Indicate which items are lost.

    If all outstanding items are lost

    1. Check Mark All Lost? to include the balance of all items that on the transfer that have not been received.

    To record only certain item IDs or quantities as being lost

    1. Enter the item ID in Scan / Enter Item to Write Off .
    2. Enter the Quantity Lost.
You can also enter the Lost Qty for the Item ID directly in the grid lower on the page if you find this quicker.
  1. Click to save the Lost in Transit record. At the same time, inventory adjustments will be created for each item ID with the Quantity indicated as lost and the Reason prefixed with "Lost In Transit" and the document number created followed by the Reason. In the case of serialized inventory, a Retired Item record is also created.
