Installing ToolHound Mobile for Android from a Downloaded APK File

You can use this alternate method of installing ToolHound 6 Mobile on your Android device if your organization is prevented from accessing the Play Store or if directed by ToolHound Support.
You need connectivity over WIFI (or a SIM card) to access the link and use ToolHound.
- Navigate to the ToolHound download site as provided by a member of the Support Team.
- Locate the file named, com.ToolHound.ToolHound6Mobile.apk (for Android) and download it to your computer or directly to your mobile device.
If you download the file to your computer, transfer it to your mobile device.
- On the mobile device, tap on the file to begin the installation and follow the prompts.
- The first time the ToolHound 6 Mobile app is launched after it is installed, it will need to be configured with your ToolHound Server and Company Alias. Be sure to include http:// or https:// as required.
For ToolHound Cloud subscribers, use https://www.mytoolhound.com
- Tap
after entering the required information. - Tap
to return to the log in screen.
Should your ToolHound Server or Company Alias change in the future, these settings can be modify in the Settings by clicking the gear icon at the top right.
