Use Change / Add Item ID on TH6 Mobile to

  • change the Primary ID when the barcode, QR code, or RIFD tag is damaged, lost, or otherwise unreadable
  • add an alternate ID such as a manufacturer UPC code, serial number, unit number, license plate, or other identifier
The item ID can be changed or an alternate ID added for any active item of any inventory type in any stocking point within the visibility of the user even if the item is issued or in transit. The item ID cannot be changed for inactive or retired inventory.

Fields on this screen include:

Item ID

Enter the ID of the item to be updated.

Serial Number

If the Item ID is not available for the item to be updated, enter or scan the serial number.

Part Number

Displays the Part Number of the item entered.

Description

Displays the Description of the item entered.

New Item ID

Enter a new ID for the item.

Options

Change ID

Tap to replace the current Item ID with the New Item ID.

Add Alternate ID

Tap to add the New Item ID as a alternate ID for the Item ID.
