Report on Lost Tools

There are two reports available to report on lost tools:

  • Retired Assets, under Inventory, displays a list of lost tools and other retired items by location(s). This report includes only assets that are currently retired. It does not include those that were previously reinstated.
  • Damaged Tools, under Transactions, displays a historical list of tools that have been returned as damaged, lost, or written off. This report is not limited to only assets that are currently retired. It includes those that were previously reinstated.

To report exclusively on currently lost tools for either report, add an Advanced filter for Inventory Status = lost. You can also use an Advanced filter for Inventory Status CONTAINS lost.

You can use this filter to report on damaged tools, sold inventory, etc by changing the value in the text box.

To automate reporting on lost tools, schedule the report with the Inventory Status filter.
