About Item Lookup on TH6 Mobile

Item Lookup is used to display information for an item ID of any inventory type. Search by the Item ID or Serial Number. Look up an item ID to find the storage bin for consumables or bulk items, to view the picture assigned to the part number if available, and any alternate IDs.

Non-serialized inventory will be restricted to information stored at the part number. Serialized inventory will display additional details.

Tap the icons the top of the page for supplementary information:

  • QOH - view the quantity on hand for the part number across all stocking points in the user's visibility. Includes the bin shelf for bulk and consumable parts.
  • Attach - view any files attached to the part number or serialized item. Attachments to the part number are indicated with an asterisk (*)
  • Kit Contents - view the items, required quantities, quantities, and any missing balance for a kit. Displayed only when the item ID is a kit.
  • Service - view the service requirements, due dates, and history for serialized items
  • Readings - view and record meter readings related to service tasks for serialized items
  • Transfer - view the rates for all Transfer Rate Sheets where the part number appears
  • Transaction - view the rates for all Transaction Rate Sheets where the part number appears
Each icon displays the number of associated records of that type.
Mobile devices are limited to opening URLS or hyperlinks beginning with https. Mobile devices will not load URLS or hyperlinks beginning with http.

Option to search by include:

Item ID

Scan, type, or lookup a primary or alternate ID to find the item details.

Serial Number

Scan or type a serial number to find the item details.

Detail fields on this screen for the item include:

Primary ID

Displays the ID of the item that is entered.

Alternate IDs

A list of all alternate IDs, if available.

Part Number

Displays the Part Number of the item.

Description

Displays the Description of the item.

Inventory Status

Applies to serialized inventory only. Displays the current status of the item, e.g. In Stock, Issued, etc.

Qty On Hand

Displays the current quantity on hand or the item. For serialized inventory this can only be 1 or 0. For non-serialized inventory, this can be a negative value if Allow Negative QOH is set for the stocking point.

Current Entity

Applies to serialized inventory only. Displays the current location of the item or name of the entity that the item is currently issued to.

Previous Entity

Applies to serialized inventory only. Displays the previous entity or stocking point where the item was found.

Location

Displays the home stocking location of the item.

Inventory Type

Displays the inventory type.

Manufacturer

Displays the manufacturer.

Model

Displays the model number, if entered.

Bin Shelf

Displays the bin or shelf where the item is stored at the stocking location.

Transfer No

While a serialized item is in transit, the Transfer Number is displayed.

Kit

Two options are possible:

  • A checked checkbox Indicates this item ID is a kit. In this case the Kit Contents tab will be displayed to view the items in the kit.
  • For serialized items that belong to a kit, the Primary ID, Part Number, Description, and any associated picture for the kit are displayed.
