Release Notes for version 6.2025.501.0

This is a partial list of enhancements and fixes included with this release.

This release includes an update for the ToolHound Mobile app. Ensure your server is updated before updating your mobile device. Once TH6 Mobile is installed, clear any locally cached data after logging in by tapping the stacked Menu icon then tap About and tap the trash bin in the upper right corner.

NEW FEATURES

Browser
  • Access our Help documentation without leaving ToolHound. A new lighthouse icon appears floating at the bottom right corner of the browser. Click the lighthouse to open a popup where you can
    • search by typing a term or question to find an article
    • click to view an article
    • click to open separate tab for the Help, the same as clicking in the browser at the top right of the page
    • email Support by clicking Contact, the same as in the full-sized browser page
    • close the the popup panel by clicking
  • *Inventory Map* is now available under the Location Services menu. Use this feature get an overview of all inventory or search to pinpoint individual items with Last Seen GPS coordinates
  • *Completed Counts* report is now available under the Inventory reports. This is similar to the Count Discrepancy report but displays the information shown on the Final tab for closed counts.
Mobile
Once TH6 Mobile is installed, clear any locally cached data after logging in by tapping the stacked Menu icon then tapping About and tapping the trash bin in the upper right corner of the screen .
  • Service Request now supports adding photos either when adding a new service request or when viewing a service request.
  • *Work Orders* is now available to add, edit, and close work orders
  • *Change / Add Item ID*
  • *Serialized Items*
    • replaces Register Item.
    • now includes the ability look up, view, edit, and duplicate existing serialized items.
This version of TH6 Mobile does not support the CS108 RFID reader.
Features denoted with * are granted to all roles automatically. Edit all roles to set the appropriate permissions.

ENHANCEMENTS

Browser
  • The data toolbar now has the Delete icon to the left of Refresh to prevent accidentally deleting records.
  • All import templates now include a tab for Instrucciones ES (Spanish instructions).
  • Check List items now handle longer descriptions.
  • The Dashboard has a new KPI for Transactions By User. Use either the Column or Bar chart type for this KPI.
  • Locations
    • The General tab replaces the Notes tab.
    • Job and Sub job are now on the General tab in order to support these fields for all location types. These were previously on the Settings tab.
    • Three new user fields (User Field 1, User Field 2, and User Field 3) appear on the General tab.
  • Serialized Items now
    • has a new map inset on the General tab for items with a Last Seen date and GPS coordinates. This replaces the location pin icon.
    • has a tab to show historic Meter Readings. Like other grids, it supports Search filtering and exporting to Excel.
  • Import Data
    • Locations has a new template to support importing the three new user fields.
  • The Roles audit information (Create & Modified By) has been moved to the bottom of the page for consistency with other pages.

Reporting Enhancements

  • Transaction Activity now
    • includes advanced filters for Category and Sub Category.
    • includes columns for Category and Sub Category when reports are duplicated.
  • Consumables report now includes advanced filters for Shipping and Billing addresses.
  • Issued Assets report now includes advanced filters for Shipping and Billing addresses.
  • Locations report now
    • includes advanced filters for the three new user fields.
    • displays the three new user fields and the notes.

Fixes

Browser
  • Transfer requests could not be picked without a billing location specified.
  • Transfer receipts were not displaying the bin recorded when receiving the transfer.
  • Transactions could not be saved for newly created stocking locations.
  • Part Number Transaction History would not load for serialized items if there were Change Item Status records with certain parameters.
  • Serialized Kit Contents report was not including items in the kit that were added using the alternate ID.
  • Work Order
    • was not updating the Scheduled By user ID.
    • was permitting the checklist values to be changed after the WO was closed.
    • could be edited by users with roles having view only permissions
  • Locations was displaying all locations to users with limited visibility.
  • Personnel Supervisor list was not limited by the user visibility.
Mobile
  • Changes to improve readability in Dark Mode or Dark Theme.
  • Serialized Kits was not displaying more than 50 kits when using the lookup.
API
  • Location was not respecting user visibility when no location parameter was passed.
