About Receive Inventory

​Receive Inventory is part of the add-on Purchasing module. Use this page to receive items into inventory for a particular stocking location against an existing purchase order or directly into inventory.

General tab for Receive Inventory

This is the default tab for Receive Inventory.  It displays the identifying information for the inventory receipt including the purchase order, if applicable, and when and from which vendor the inventory was received. Use this tab to receive items into inventory either with or without an existing purchase order.

Items to Receive tab for Receive Inventory

Use Items to Receive tab for the Receive Inventory page to assign primary IDs (bar codes, RFID tags, etc.) to incoming inventory for existing part numbers. When receiving against a purchase order, most of the fields will be updated automatically with information from the purchase order.

Items Received tab for Receive Inventory

The Items Received tab for the Receive Inventory page displays the details for all inventory selected to be received.  Use this tab to review the inventory ready to be received and make any required changes before processing.
